Chess Life Winner

Chess Life for Kids is US Chess Federation’s official monthly magazine. The magazine had a story contest and readers from across the United States were invited to get their imagination run wild and tell, in 500 words or less what they thought might be happening in the picture. They received so many thoughtful, creative and compelling tales from all across the country that it was hard to narrow down to the top three.  Saanvi A., a 6th grader from WRMS won the 3rd place.    Here is the article and cover.   Please congratulate Saanvi when you see her on campus!

Drop Off/Pick Up: Helpful Hints

Thank you to all the drivers at WRMS for showing patience and courtesy to other drivers. Here are some hints that may lighten traffic and stress on adults.

  1. There is only 1 right hand turn lane into the parking lot  from E. Branch Pkwy coming from Bollinger Canyon Pkwy (if unable to enter, go up to 2nd light, make u-turn, then left turn into parking lot).
  2. Leave the center lane open for through traffic
  3. Please carpool or encourage students to walk/ride a bike, scooter, or skateboard to and from school.WRMS dropoff pickup.gif
